Meet our Woodsman and spend a day learning the secrets of making Charcoal. Learn about our native British tree species, coppice management, wood selection, how to load the kiln, monitoring the burn and unloading a superb British product.
Enjoy a relaxing day as we show you how our ancestors made a living from our beautiful woodlands and how we are reviving ancient skills to create a sustainable future.
Learn about our conservation work and how woodland management increases bio-diversity.
A woodsman’s lunch, cooked on our own charcoal is included. Refreshments available throughout the day.
Make your own woodland craft item and take some charcoal home to see for yourself how good this British made product really is.
Groups limited to eight. Over sixteen years old.
Special dietary requirements can be catered for.
£50 per person.
