Easter at Conkers – Adventure and Fun for all the Family!
Easter has long been associated by many of us as a happy excuse to celebrate the end of the winter months and the opportunity to look forward to warmer, greener and sunnier times.

At CONKERS, it is our excuse to welcome in the Spring and feature some of our great new attractions for 2010.

Nick Spellman at Conkers over Easter
Once again, we are delighted to welcome back the ever-popular Nick Spellman and his entourage of furry, slippery and feathered friends. Nick will be in the Amphitheatre at the Waterside Centre on Friday, 2nd April, Monday 5th April and Thursday 8th April. Each day, performances will be held at 12.00pm, 1.00pm, 2.00pm & 3.00pm.

Circus Workshops over Easter & Dream Ponies over Easter
Our Circus Workshops are always popular with younger visitors and members providing a ‘hands on’ experience! Plate spinning, stilt walking and face painting are just a few of the activities available. Circus shows are presented on 4th, 9th and 12th April between 12.00 and 4.00pm. Following the enormous success of their first visit to CONKERS last year, we are delighted to be welcoming back those adorable, chubby, ‘Dream Ponies’ which were so popular with our visitors last year. They will offer short rides throughout the holiday, suitable for our smaller visitors. On Wednesday 31st March and 7th, 14th April between 10.00 am and 4.00pm.

Ranger Activities over Easter
At CONKERS, however, rather than rolling or pace-egging, we are offering our visitors the chance to take part in a variety of Easter Ranger activities:
Monday 29th March – Traditional Games Day
Tuesday 30th March – Orienteering at Waterside and Easter Bunny Ears in the Rangers Pavilion
Wednesday 31st March – Easter Egg Challenge
Thursday 1st April – Easter Egg Challenge
Tuesday 6th April – Easter Egg Challenge
Wednesday 7th April –Traditional Games Day
Monday 12th April –Easter Egg Challenge
Tuesday 13th April –Orienteering at Waterside & Easter Bunny Ears in the Rangers Pavilion
Wednesday 14th April –Traditional Games Day
Thursday 15th –Easter Egg Challenge
Friday 16th April –Easter Egg Challenge

All Easter Ranger activities will be held between 12.00 mid day and 3.00pm, with a small charge of £1.00. They will take place in the Ranger’s Pavilion just outside the Discovery Centre, unless stated otherwise.
