CONKERS offers a range of different cafes and restaurants to cater for all visitors. We offer light healthy snacks through to traditional Sunday
roasts, pub grub, summer bbqs and bespoke menus for corporate guests.
We take our food seriously using the freshest ingredients and where possible we try and source produce locally. We regularly refresh our
menus to meet our visitors’ needs.
Eating out at Conkers Discovery
Olive Tree Restaurant
The licensed Olive Tree Restaurant in the Discovery Centre is open all day offering luscious lunches from pasta dishes through to pizzas, light snacks are available including baguettes and traditional puddings. There is also an excellent children’s menu. The Olive Tree set next to the lake has a great atmosphere to enjoy a wholesome meal using the freshest ingredients.
On Monday – Friday (excluding school holidays) you can sign in to use the restaurant without having to pay the admission fee.
Gallery Restaurant
The Gallery Restaurant in the Waterside Centre is open to both
visitors and the public, you can enjoy our very popular Sunday
carvery with a choice of roasts and a selection of freshly cooked
vegetables without having to pay admission to enter CONKERS.
The Gallery also serves an excellent range of starters, vegetarian
meals, traditional food and desserts in relaxed comfortable
surroundings. The Gallery will particularly appeal to people living
locally to CONKERS. The Gallery Restaurant is also available for
private parties, celebrations, receptions and anniversaries.
The Gallery Carvery is open on Sundays from 12.00 - 3.00pm (last
orders). Pre booking is advisable on 01283 551722.
Starbucks Coffee Lounge @ the Gallery
Great for morning coffee, elevenses or afternoon refreshment the Coffee Lounge @ the Gallery serves freshly brewed Starbucks coffee, hot snacks and patisseries throughout the day. Kid’s can enjoy our freshly made juices.
Eating out at Waterside
Waters Edge Grill
Ideal for the family our fully licensed Waters Edge Grill in the Waterside Centre provides a truly picturesque setting overlooking a lake. The Waters Edge Grill offers a range of char grilled meals and salads, daily specials, a children’s menu and afternoon teas. You can even dine alfresco on lakeside decking.
Billy Bonkers BBQ Shack
During the summer months and special events Billy Bonkers BBQ Shack is open serving char grilled steak sandwiches, bbq ribs, homemade beef burgers, herb sausages with red onion marmalade, kebabs and salads. The BBQ Shack also serves a selection of cold drinks.
Whistle Stop Kiosk
Next to the train station you can pick up hot and cold drinks, warm pasties, ice creams and cakes. Seating is provided adjacent to the Playdale Adventure Play Park.
Forest Dwellers Kiosk
For food on the go at the Discovery train station we serve ice creams, snacks, cakes and hot and cold drinks.
Picnics
Picnics – we have a number of designated picnic areas at Discovery and Waterside.
