CONKERS Creepy Cauldron Goulash

Here are the ingredients you will need to make CONKERS Creepy Cauldron Goulash

  • 1kg Diced chuck steak
  • 1 tbsp sunflower oil
  • 3 medium onions
  • 3 garlic cloves
  • 2 tsp hot smoked paprika
  • 1 tbsp. paprika
  • Beef bouillon
  • 600ml cold water
  • 1 tin chopped tomatoes
  • 2 tbsp. tomato puree
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 1 red pepper
  • 1 green pepper
  • 1 yellow pepper
  • Salt and pepper to season

  1. Take the diced chuck and remove all the fat and sinew
  2. Place the trimmed meat in a heated thick bottomed saucepan with a table spoon of sunflower oil and cook until browned
  3. Whilst browning the meat, peel and dice three medium onions and three medium sweet peppers
  4. Add three crushed gloves of garlic to the meat along with the diced onions and peppers
  5. Add two TSP of hot smoked paprika and one TBSP of paprika, stir in and coat round the meat 
  6. Once the meat is browned and the onions have become translucent (clear) add two TBSP of tomato puree and stir in 
  7. Add one Beef stock cube to 600 ml of cold water into a sauce pan and bring to the boil
  8. Add one tin of chopped tomatoes and the 600ml of beef stock to the meat, along with the bay leaves, then put on a low heat and simmer for at least one hour or until the meat is tender
  9. Once tender, check the sauce and add salt and pepper if needed
