Whilst CONKERS has been closed we took the opportunity to carry out essential works to our woodland areas called Tree thinning. This work is often the most important thing you can do to influence the growth and health of woodland areas. Proper spacing and thinning can reduce overcrowding and relieve tree stress. This helps maintain the health and vigour of the woodland and create a more open forest stand, which can also improve habitat conditions for wildlife species.
During your visit to Conkers we ask that you stay on the relevant foot paths around the complex to avoid any hazards related to the tree thinning. It also ensures we can let the ground flora in these areas breathe and grow uninhibited
Thank you for helping to conserve our woodland
