Numbers up by 16 per cent on last year – a 15-year high.

CONKERS, the award-winning visitor attraction at the heart of The National Forest, has welcomed over 56,000 visitors this summer. This represents a 16 per cent increase on the same period last year and the highest summer figure for the last 15 years at the popular visitor attraction.

Chris Sturdy, Regional Operations Manager at CONKERS said: “We’re delighted that so many people were able to come and enjoy the outdoor activities and experiences this summer. From bushcrafts and assault courses, through to Super Saturday challenges and the new Hi and Lo Ropes experience, there’s so much for families to do at CONKERS.”

CONKERS opened a new Hi and Lo Ropes Aerial Adventure experience in July 2015. The Hi Ropes Adventure has 15 aerial sections to complete including climbing nets, high level walkways, and more. The Lo Ropes Course is just the ticket for junior visitors to traverse and build confidence – offering 10 different and exciting stage challenges.

CONKERS is the award-winning attraction at the heart of the National Forest, based near Moira in Leicestershire. It offers a unique mix of indoor and outdoor experiences across 120 acres of maturing woodlands, lakes, ponds, play areas and an 18-stage assault course challenge. Indoors, a British Woodland has over 100 indoor interactive exhibits in four seasonal zones or visitors can experience the Enchanted Forest, climbing through the treetops and along rope walkways.
