Frequently Asked Questions

WHAT SHOULD WE WEAR?

Warm clothing and footwear should be worn at all times when on site. Please note that this is an outdoor venue
and adults must ensure children are adequately dressed.

WE ARE RUNNING LATE…

No quibbles, you will still be able to enter and enjoy your day.
We understand that traffic, or unplanned pitstops occur and we will do our best to get you in and enjoying your
time with us upon arrival.
(If you have booked a timed activity, we may need to reschedule you to a later time slot or another day)

CAN I SHOW MY BOOKING ON MY PHONE?

Yes you can! We scan every booking on arrival, and so this can be by phone or on printed paper.
Please ensure this is on a clear screen (broken screens do not always scan, so we shall input the number to
validate your entry)

IS PARKING FREE?

Free parking for cars and coaches is provided for visitors to CONKERS at both The Discovery Centre and The
Waterside Centre

ARE THERE ADDITIONAL COSTS?

Yes, there are additional activities outside of our admission structure on site, such as if you would like to take home a festive Framed Family Picture, Paint a Pot Tree Ornament, etc. which should you desire to enjoy, hold nominal additional costs. These are capacity led choice items.

ACCESSIBILITY

We try to keep the wooded areas as accessible as possible over the winter period, however, there can sometimes be some very wet days that can make wheelchairs and mobility scooter access too unsafe for the wheels to find their footing correctly. Please speak with a senior manager prior to booking. We are more than happy to accommodate and twist our offer where we can to ensure that every visit remains magical and special for every member of the family.

It's 'Snow' Joke

The layers of snow during your elf adventure are artificial from snow machines (unless we get lucky!) so wellies are recommended.

But do not worry, the snow you will see is a paper based substance that mulches and absorbs into the grounds during rainy periods in January to feed our trees in The National Forest.

If it rains during your visit, you will see it ‘bubble’ as it begins it’s natural process.

Gift Aid

If you are a UK tax payer, you can help to support the charitable work of the National Forest Company (the owners of CONKERS) with your Gift Aid admission.

Your ticket or annual membership contains a small, suggested donation to the charity to enhance CONKERS and the wider National Forest. Your ticket allows us to engage in claiming back the tax on the whole amount of your ticket from the Government, which works out at an extra 25p for every £1.

There’s no need to complete any forms. If you are not wishing to support CONKERS, The National Forest, or you are a non tax payer, please speak with our team via the below Contact Form. Through Gift Aid you are not only helping CONKERS but supporting the National Forest to plant more trees for people, wildlife and a greener future – thank you.
